Frequently asked questions

Q: What is your service area?

A: We primarily service Klein, Champion Forest, Spring, Willowbrook, and some neighborhoods in Cypress, Woodlands, Tomball, and Humble for drop-in visits. Depending on the distance, we may require either a longer visit for certain areas, or a mileage fee for shorter visits. We accept overnight bookings up to 30 miles away.

Q: Are you insured and bonded?

A: Yes we are insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance.

Q: I want you to watch my pets. What is the process?

A: We are thrilled that you want us to be your pets new best friend! First, we will have a phone call to discuss your needs. We will then arrange an in person consultation to get to know you and your pets. Prior to the consultation, you will need to fill out our Pet Care Agreement, and create your account with Time To Pet. Once you fill out your profile we can proceed with the in person meeting! Filling out your pets information prior to our meeting helps us understand your pets before meeting them face to face.

Q: Do you charge for meet & greets?

A: Yes, we charge $50 for our in-person consultation.

Q: Why do you charge for meet & greets? Other petsitters do it for free.

A: We charge a fee for to compensate any sitters who will be present at the meeting for their gas and time. We do not set up an in person meeting until it is confirmed that you will be booking with us- our initial phone consultation is free of charge and is when we determine if we are a good fit. Our meeting happens after bookings are finalized- it is to handle key exchanges, introduce ourselves to you and the pets, and go over pets’ routines before you leave for your trip.

Q: How do I pay you?

A: In our Time To Pet software, you will be prompted to save a payment method when creating your account. You can pay with credit card, debit card, or link a bank account. You will receive invoices before your booking, and you can choose to pay it yourself at any time leading up to the booking. We do automatic invoicing, so if you would rather us handle it, your payment method will be automatically charged in full prior to the first day of your booking.

Q: Can I leave a tip after my booking?

A: Yes, you may leave a tip at any time. The tips are split evenly between all sitters who cared for your pet. After a booking ends, you can still re-open an old invoice and leave a tip for a prior stay! You can also set up an optional automatic tipping if you choose to do so, and this will be automatically applied to every invoice going forward.
